We have drawn our inspiration from the sophisticated Japanese Shunga printings.
Shunga is the Japanese book of art of love.
It contains short texts that are illustrated by erotic wood engravings dating from the beginning of ‘700 to the beginning of ‘900.
It was used to illustrate erotic novels, but its purpose was also to teach young spouses.
During the Edo age the Shunga-related wood engraving production increased enormously, many of these texts circulated in cheap editions.
The wide variety of images circulating at that time was given several names depending on their nature: mukura-e (pillow images), waraie (hilarious images), koshokujibon (lustful books)

Katsukawa, Shunshò, Katsushika, Okusai, Utagawa,Toyokuni were some of the most refined Shunga artists.
